Megan did not want to get up.

"I have to go to work," said Megan's mother. "I have an important meeting today. I can't stay home with you."

Wendy's Comments:

This story was written when I was working as a paediatric occupational therapist and had young children of my own. Usually my husband and I were able to balance their care, but one particular day when my son was sick the only solution was to take him to work with me - which was interesting for both of us!
